  1. I find this thing to be awfully misleading.

    You won’t be taught how to code for Ubuntu, the framework and technologies it has. All it is is packaging.

    While that’s certainly all ubuntu really is about, it really doesn’t do any good to the new developer.

    Well of course it’s focused on developing Ubtuntu as a distribution, and packaging is the majority of the work involved. But if you look at the actual topics, there are a number of sessions that go well beyond packaging including:

    “Hooking your app into your desktop CouchDB”
    “Writing secure software”
    “$quickly fun”
    “Let Mago do your Desktop testing for you”
